SEAVIEW BOAT BASIN 
The Seaview Boat Basin
The Seaview Boat Basin is located on the Bay between Evergreen and Gale Streets-- just to the east of the Ferry Terminal. The property is irregular in shape and about 50,000 square feet overall. The basin was dredged and bulkheaded in the 1920’s by the Great South Beach Improvement Co, the original developer of Seaview. In 1958, the Basin was sold to the Zegel family (who brought Seaviewers back and forth across the Great South Bay for decades on the ‘blue boats’ of the ZEE Line Ferry Company).
In 1985 the Basin was sold and subsequently operated as a public Marina for the next 22 years. Purchased by the Seaview Association in 2007, the Boat Basin can currently accommodate 60 boats of various sizes. Most of the slips are rented on a seasonal basis to Seaview homeowners and renters who wish to reserve docking space from Mid- May through Columbus Day. A limited number of slips are also available for overnight docking.
