Suzy and I attended the briefing by Chris Soller, Fire Island National Seashore Superintendent, at the FIA meeting last night along with residents from various communities including Seaview, OB, OBP, Saltaire, Fair Harbor and Fire Island Pines (at least people who identified themselves as from those communities when taking part in an active Q & A session.

The prepared presentation slides are attached for your pleasure. The most significant, in my opinion, come at the end where four slides present preliminary overviews of alternatives. Chris stated that at this time he favors the third alternative. He expects that after further internal work the plan will be available for “public” comment later this year.

*Park Service designates parks by first two letters of first two words, so Fire Island (National Seashore) is FI IS. Yellowstone, which is only one word, is called YELL. ..........................Carl H. Seligson
